Mutual Support
Each year the UK’s helicopter air ambulances undertake over 170,000 missions contributing to the critical care of thousands of seriously ill or injured patients. We believe it important that the air ambulance community around the UK be seen, and see themselves, as a recognised industry within the health care economy, playing a vital role in the well being of patients.
Through the HEMS Charter it is our aspiration that country's air ambulances provide clinical care that is the envy of the world, providing consistent clinical care up and down the country, with governance that is second to non.
The non for profit HCC aims to help foster this industry identity through common clinical practice and the simple act of helicopter providers from all over the UK coming together to train with a single industry identity.
To ensure the our industry operates at the highest possible levels the quality of clinical governance is peer reviewed by others within UK HEMS ensuring safe scrutiny by any other parties.
